Alongside the landscapes she holds dear, portraiture emerged over the course of her travels as another territory to explore.

She loves to capture an expression, read a gaze, interpret a smile. Behind every face she seeks to perceive a story, a culture, a singularity. The portrait then becomes an encounter — a way of reaching out to others and trying to reveal something of them beyond appearances.
